Traditions get a bad rep these days. I'm not talking about the Christmas traditions of hanging stocking at the fireplace.
In the age of smartphones and AI, rocket science and engineered genomes, there is little room for the knowledge passed down from generation to generation. What was once called wisdom, passes for myth and old wives's tales.
Knowledge and facts are researched by professors and professionals with truth being the outcome of their investigation. If knowledge doesn't come from an accredited source, it's often viewed with suspicion or uncertainty. I'm not saying this is bad thing, in many significant ways we owe our riches, comfortable lifestyle and increased lifespan to the wonders of science and research.
